Why walls in the Shire need a wash
Dust and traffic grime settle on render and paint, and that film holds moisture against the wall. In the leafy suburbs, it's the shade from big trees that does it: the south and west walls stay damp and grow green and black mould.
Pressure-washing those walls is a common mistake. It can lift paint, scar render and force water behind cladding. A soft wash does the cleaning with a treatment and a gentle rinse instead.

How a house wash goes
On the day, gardens near the walls are wet down first so plants are protected, outdoor furniture is moved and doors and windows are closed. The treatment goes on from the bottom up and is rinsed from the top down, side by side around the house.
When it's done, we walk around the house with you. If an area that was quoted has been missed, it's fixed then and there.
Strata and unit buildings

What is soft washing?
A low-pressure clean that uses a cleaning treatment to break down dirt, mould and algae, followed by a gentle rinse. It's the right way to clean render, cladding, painted walls and eaves without damaging them.
Can you wash a two-storey house?
Yes. Two-storey homes are washed from the ground and safe access equipment. Very tall or hard-to-reach walls are checked first, and the quote will say how they'll be done.
Will it get rid of the green on the south side?
Usually, yes. The green and black growth on shaded walls is mould and algae, which a soft wash treats and rinses away. Deep stains in old render can sometimes leave a shadow, and we'll tell you if we expect that.
Do you clean windows as part of a house wash?
Windows and frames get rinsed as part of the wash. If you want a proper streak-free window clean as well, ask for it in your quote.
How much does a house wash cost?
It's priced per house, based on size, storeys, wall type and how much growth there is. Send photos of each side of the house for a fixed written price.
